Philosophy of DVSAC GED

This GED program was created over 25 years ago for people that did not fit the mainstream school model for whatever reason. We believe that it doesn’t matter how you learn, there is a way that you can succeed. You are not a failure if you do not learn a certain way. You are not a failure if you got into trouble and have had to restart life. Everybody has value and deserves to achieve a future that they envision.

Donald Johnson

Donald Johnson is a tutor and data collector and is married with 3 children. He is retired from the INL and has always been active in the community. Girl Scouts, 4H, PTA, and soccer have kept him very busy over the years. He loves refereeing soccer to this day. Teaching was always his passion; and he can tutor math! He loves seeing when his students have their moment when they finally understand something they never thought they would!

Anne Johnson

Anne Johnson is the GED program administrator and is also a tutor. She is married with 3 children. She ran the Haven Shelter for over 20 years. She has been involved in the community with Girl Scouts, 4H, PTA, Festival of Trees, and board member for the Center For Hope. She loves to quilt. Her passion is helping those that may be homeless, may have addiction issues, and anyone that doesn’t believe in themselves.
